The “Golden Apple Awards for Excellence and Innovation in AI & STEAM 2027” feature seven award categories that comprehensively encompass teachers, students, schools, educational leaders, and relevant organizations, reflecting the diverse facets and outstanding achievements within STEAM and AI education.
These awards aim to recognize individuals and groups who have made significant contributions to the fields of artificial intelligence and innovative technology education, thereby driving educational innovation, inspiring educators to strive for excellence, and collectively nurturing the talent of the future.

Target: Kindergarten, primary, and secondary school teachers/educators/students
This initiative aims to recognize teachers for their outstanding performance in STEAM education, enhance the standard and quality of education within the sector, and promote the sustainable development of creative education.
Target: Schools
This initiative aims to recognize schools that feature creative and distinctive campus designs, promote diverse learning spaces, enhance campus functionality through innovative design concepts, and demonstrate impactful contributions to STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).
Target: Schools
This award recognizes outstanding schools that have advanced STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) over the past three years. It aims to foster innovative thinking in teaching, inspire student exploration and learning, and encourage schools to achieve continuous progress in STEAM education.
Target: School supervisors and principals from kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools, as well as top executives from private institutions (each school may nominate only one leader).
The award aims to recognize the outstanding achievements and contributions of school supervisors, principals, and educators in leading STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), as well as their efforts to foster a positive learning atmosphere within their schools and enhance students’ creativity and learning outcomes.
Target: Educators and aspiring professionals in related fields.
This initiative aims to recognize outstanding AI-based educational designs created by educators and aspiring professionals in related fields, foster the deep integration of design with teaching environments, and build efficient, well-suited smart learning systems.
Target: Institutions or enterprises in the AI education sector
This award aims to recognize cutting-edge innovations from institutions and enterprises in the AI education sector, highlight product innovation and industrial practical value, foster emerging industry forces that combine a genuine commitment to education with growth potential, and drive the high-quality development of the AI education industry.
Target: Schools of all types and levels
This award aims to recognize schools for their outstanding practices in implementing and promoting AI education, foster the development of campus AI education ecosystems, and support the widespread adoption and high-quality advancement of AI education across the region.

Competition Rules and Disclaimer
Competition Rules
（I）Eligibility Requirements
- Participation is open to students, teachers, school supervisors, principals, and staff or heads of organizations based in Hong Kong or Macau.
- Individuals who participated in the previous edition without winning an award may register again; however, the submitted entry must be entirely different from the previous one—resubmission of past entries is not permitted.
- Each entrant (individual, school, or organization) may submit only one entry or project; multiple registrations are not accepted, and the same entry or project cannot be submitted for multiple award categories.
- Restriction for the “Outstanding Creative Education Leader Award”: A single school may nominate only one leader (supervisor or principal) to participate.
(II) Submission Rules
- All entries must be the original work of the participants; plagiarism or the misappropriation of others’ work is strictly prohibited. Entries must not infringe upon the legal rights of third parties—such as copyright or portrait rights—and must comply with the relevant provisions of Hong Kong’s Copyright Ordinance (Cap. 528). The entrant bears full liability for any infringement.
- Entry materials (videos, documents, etc.) must be finalized before the specified deadline and submitted via a Google Drive link sent to the designated email address: awards@aicehk.org. Late submissions, incomplete materials, or entries not meeting formatting requirements will not be accepted. (The link must be accessible and permissions granted.)
- Once submitted, entries cannot be modified or resubmitted. If a submitted file cannot be opened, the entry will be deemed withdrawn; alternatively, the entrant may choose to pay an administrative fee of HK$200 to resubmit the file.
- By submitting materials, participants grant the organizer permission to reproduce, publicly exhibit, and publish the entries online and in media—without further authorization or royalty payments—for event promotion and STEAM education demonstration purposes.
- Submitted files will not be returned; participants are responsible for retaining their own complete backups.
(III) Method of announcing the list of participants
- The competition results will be announced on August 30, 2027. Results will be published on the organization’s website and Facebook page, and winning individuals or organizations will be notified via email regarding award collection arrangements.
- Winning teachers or organizations may be invited to participate in media interviews (if applicable) or to showcase and present their winning lesson plans on the organization’s other platforms and/or at its events.
- The organizer and co-organizer will jointly produce a digital commemorative publication featuring all winning organizations and individuals; this will be uploaded to the official websites or media channels of the organizer and co-organizer for public viewing and commemoration. The organizer retains ownership of the digital publication’s content, design, and copyright.
(IV) Authorization for Personal Data and Publicity
- By registering, participants authorize the organizer to collect, process, and use the personal, school, or institutional information provided during registration for the purposes of competition-related communication, event promotion, and educational demonstrations.
- Participants consent to the public disclosure of their names, the names of their affiliated schools or institutions, and details regarding their entries via the organizer’s official channels. Following the announcement of results, winners are required to submit—upon request—a recent (within the last three months) half-body JPG photograph (under 10MB), an institutional or school logo file, and a winner’s statement of at least 150 words; the organizer may use these materials and the winning videos for academic exchange and promotional activities, both online and offline.
- Copyright for any photography or videography from the online or in-person award ceremony (if applicable) belongs to the organizer, the Asia Creative Education Association, and the co-organizer, the Macau Science Center; the organizers reserve the right to use this content indefinitely for long-term promotion and educational outreach.
(V) Authority for Event Management
- The results of the judging will serve as the final basis for the award rankings; no appeals process is available.
- The organizers reserve the right of final decision regarding the competition and may adjust any related arrangements—including competition rules, award categories, the event schedule, and the award presentation format—at any time without prior notice to participants.
Disclaimer
- The registration fee paid by participants covers administrative costs and is non-refundable under any circumstances.
- By completing the registration process, participants acknowledge that they have fully read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to all terms and conditions outlined in these “Competition Rules” and the “Disclaimer,” and accept all regulations without objection.
- The organizers shall not be held liable—nor are they required to notify individual participants—for issues such as damage, loss, incomplete content, poor image quality, mail delays, or delivery failures regarding entry materials, provided such issues do not result from the organizers’ own negligence. Participants are responsible for ensuring that their submitted files are complete, meet all specifications, and are submitted on time.
- Participants authorize the organizers to use—without limitation—all submitted materials (including school names, school emblems, participants’ likenesses, images, videos, and software entries) for the purpose of promoting the competition across all online and offline media; participants may not raise objections to such usage.
- All award rankings and scoring results are determined solely and independently by the judging panel; these decisions are final, and no appeals, challenges, or requests for review will be accepted.
- Entrants bear sole responsibility for the originality and copyright status of their submitted works and projects. Any proven instances of plagiarism, infringement, or other violations will result in immediate disqualification and the forfeiture of any awards; the entrant assumes full liability for any resulting civil or legal consequences, and the organizers bear no joint or several liability.
- Submitted materials—including documents and videos—will not be returned; entrants are advised to retain their own copies.
- The Asia Creative Education Association, the Macao Science Center, and the judging panel jointly hold the right of final interpretation regarding all rules and terms of this competition; the organizers reserve the right to make the final decision on any disputes arising from the event.
