Topic: Local Festivals & Food Culture
Objectives:
- Understanding Local Festivals:Step into your hometown’s traditional festivals, learn about diverse folk customs and traditions, and experience the rich and warm festive atmosphere.
- Discover the flavors of home:Enjoy local classic snacks and festival-limited dishes, and use your paintbrush to record the unique flavors of the place.
- Suitable for all ages to create:Preschoolers draw cute and childlike scenes or snacks, elementary school students draw lively festival scenes, and middle school students depict in-depth cultural stories. Students of all grades can freely express themselves.

“Entries” in the online entry form on the Asian Creative Education Association website, under the “Entry Link”. Format: JPG or PNG - Artwork must be drawn flat on A4, A3, or A2 paper/canvas. Any paints and tools may be used, but computer-generated artwork is not accepted.
Entry requirements:
“Mixed media painting” is a painting created by using a variety of materials. In addition to using paints and tools such as wood toner, water pen, crayon, watercolor, and plastic paint, you can also freely add a suitable amount of handicraft materials, such as scraps of cloth and colored paper, to enhance the decorative aspect of the painting (within 50% of the entire painting area, in order to match the integrated thinking and creativity of STEAM education.
*You may provide an empty shared folder link when submitting your application. Afterwards, you may upload your entry work to the same submitted folder before the final competition deadline. Please note that once the form is submitted, the folder link cannot be changed. Please ensure that you have enabled public access permissions for the sharing link (or granted access to awards@aicehk.org). Make sure the link you provide is correct, as the organizer will not be responsible for any issues or disqualification caused by an incorrect or improper submission.
International painting certification:
- Anyone who participates in the Creative Comprehensive Painting Competition can obtain a coupon and apply for any level examination of the “International Art Examination and Assessment Center” IAEB.
- The first, second and third place winners can apply for any exam of the “International Art Examination Assessment Center” with 50% discount. (For details, please visit www.iaebart.org)。
Results announced:
The judging committee will review the entries according to the judging criteria. After receiving the email notification, the winners will send their entries to the designated location of the co-organizing institution for exhibition.

Participant Instructions:
- Each participant may submit only one entry.
- Entry fees are non-refundable once paid.
- Once submitted, all entries will not be returned or replaced. All winning entries will be handled by the co-organizer and will not be returned to the winners.
- All entries must be original creations by the participants, free from plagiarism or copyright infringement, and must not use artificial intelligence programs. Entries must not contain inappropriate content such as those with malicious intent, political content, violence, or pornography. The co-organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these rules without prior notice and to pursue all relevant legal responsibilities.
- The personal information provided by participants will be used by the co-organizers and supporting organizations for the competition, as well as for future communication, sending competition notices, and promotional activities.
- The co-organizer reserves the right to revise the competition rules, terminate the competition, or change the venue for the exhibition. Such changes will be announced on the co-organizer’s website and Facebook page without prior notice.
- For participants from outside Hong Kong, the postage for certificates, awards, or trophies will be handled by SF Express (cash on delivery) and will be paid by the participant.
- Applications with incomplete or incomplete information, or for which the application fee is not paid, will be considered invalid. The co-organizer will not be responsible for any issues arising from incorrect information. An administrative fee of HK$150 will be charged for any necessary changes to the information.
- The name field on the certificate will be sorted according to the order of names filled in on the application form. If changes are requested after the certificate has been issued, an additional administrative fee of HK$150 will be charged.
- All participants must register and pay through the official website www.aicehk.org; registrations through other channels will not be accepted.
- The judging results are subject to the final decision of the judging committee. Participants should abide by the decisions of the co-organizers and the judging committee and may not raise any objections.
- If the number of participants is less than expected, the co-organizer has the right to cancel or terminate the competition, ceremony or exhibition without assuming any liability or compensation.
- Please submit your work according to the format specified on the official competition website. If the requirements are not met, the co-organizer reserves the right to refuse entry, and the entry fee will not be refunded.
- By submitting their entries, participants agree that the co-organizers and the judging committee may use and display their work during the competition, including but not limited to publicity, exhibitions, and publication.
- The copyright of the submitted works will belong to the co-organizer, which has the right to use, modify and sublicense the works.
The participants may not seek recourse in any form without obtaining the participants’ consent or paying them any fees. - The co-organizer has the right to publish the names, images and information related to the entries for publicity and display, and the participants may not request any form of compensation or fee.
- Participants under the age of 18 must have the consent of their parents, school, teacher, and guardian to register for the competition and submit their entries.
- After the winners are announced, the co-organizers will post the results on their website and Facebook page. Participants are requested to log in and check the results on the announcement date. The procedures for participating in the exhibition will be announced separately.
- During the awards ceremony and exhibition, all photographs and videos taken are copyrighted by the co-organizers and may be used for any media promotional purposes.
- Winners will be notified by email. First, second, and third prize winners will receive a 50% discount and can apply for one of the ten levels (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) of the comprehensive painting exam at the International Art Jury Center within one year. - The organizer has the right to adjust the number of winners for a particular award, and participants may not object.
- If a typhoon signal of No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning signal is in effect on the day of the awards ceremony, the awards ceremony will be postponed or canceled. For details, please check the Facebook page of the co-organizing organization.
- All submitted works must be properly packaged by the exhibitors to avoid damage or loss during transportation. The organization will not be responsible for any such damage or loss.
- Participants agree to and fully understand the above competition rules and statements, and agree to abide by all competition requirements.
