Dr. Lesley Mak

Honorary Chairman

Dr. Lesley Mak, from Huaxian County, Guangdong Province, was born in Hong Kong. She is a fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Social Enterprise, a fellow of the Canadian Chartered Institute of Management, an honorary doctor of management from Lincoln University, a winner of the 2019 International Chinese Enterprise Awards of the Solidarity Fund, and a social enterprise in Hong Kong. Honorary director of the research institute, vice chairman of China Celebrity Hotel Club, member of the Hong Kong SAR Central Lions Club, permanent honorary president of the Hong Kong Pui Ching Alumni Association, and the current director of Hong Kong Mak Wen Kee Noodle Co., Ltd., is the second generation of the family operator, and as the person in charge of a small and medium-sized enterprise in Hong Kong with a history of more than 70 years.

Dr. Mak has taken over the business from the previous generation for more than 20 years, actively following the pace of society, constantly developing new solutions, simplifying production procedures, maintaining food quality and hygiene, etc. Under the management of Dr. Mak, the company has not only been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand recommended restaurant for many years since 2018, but also has been awarded the “Caring Company” and “Family-Friendly Employers and Employees” by the Hong Kong Home Affairs Department since 2008. The ERB Manpower Enterprise Awards and other honors have established a positive image for Hong Kong enterprises. While continuing to develop his business, Dr. Mak has not forgotten to help people in need in society. His affiliated organizations and networks include Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, Po Leung Kuk, Yan Oi Tong, Nurturing Action, and various animal charities.
